About Adam

Dr. Adam Hamawy is a father, husband, humanitarian, surgeon, veteran, and small business owner running to represent New Jersey’s 12th District. He served as a combat trauma surgeon and became a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army, working with medical teams in combat and disaster zones like Iraq and Haiti and saving hundreds of lives.

Since completing his service, Dr. Hamawy has spent the last decade building a successful medical practice in the Princeton area, while also dedicating more than 30 years volunteering to treat patients in overwhelmed hospitals, war zones, and disaster areas at home and abroad.

Dr. Hamawy believes healthcare, education, housing, and healthy food are human rights. He believes that Congress should invest in the health, safety, and prosperity of our communities rather than using our tax dollars to bomb children and civilians abroad.

Now, Dr. Hamawy is running for Congress because he wants families to thrive, no matter who they are, where they come from, or where they live. In this moment of crisis for our nation, he’s stepping up to fight for affordability, safety, healthcare, education, housing, and everything else New Jerseyans need to live a good life.
